"How Great Is Our God"

How Great Is Our God

"For to US a child is born, to US a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders.  And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

I know this is a Christmas scripture but it is a powerful scripture that tells us how Great our Savior is!  It speaks volumes to a negative hurting world today.  The government is on Jesus's shoulders! He is in control of everything that is happening in our community, our town, our state and yes, even Washington DC! In fact, He knows exactly what is happening around the world and yet, He cares about what is going on in our life at this very moment!  So, that means we don't have to worry anymore, right!!!

He is more than Wonderful, He is the great I Am, the Alpha and the Omega! The First and the Last, The Beginning and the End! He is our Counselor, we can talk to Him about any problem we have (or our family has) and He can help us with the situation, all we have to do is lay our burdens at His feet and leave them there. "Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
~Psalm 55:22

He is the Mighty God. He is greater than any problem that might arise in my life and in yours!  He is the Everlasting Father!  He totally completely loves us...even when we don't deserve His love, He still loves us!

And most importantly, He is the Prince of Peace!  He wants us to have perfect peace, absolute hope without fear, and overflowing joy!  "You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of JOY; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." ~Psalm 16:11.

The Christmas season is just around the corner and we will celebrate the birth of our precious Savior. However, that is just the beginning! That Christ Child is our King of Kings and our Lord of Lords!!!!He is absolutely everything we need today, tomorrow and forever! How great is our God!
Do you know Him?

Thank You Lord for daily reminders of Your unfailing, unconditionally love for me. Amen
