"Through Our Tears"

Through Our Tears

We might cry because we are hurting from disappointment, grieving a loss, or simply feeling
overwhelmed. Sometimes, we just cry. Our tears become the only words our hearts can find. We may feel tired—tired of trying to stay strong, tired of carrying burdens that feel heavier than we can bear, tired of wondering when things will get better.
But one thing is certain: our hearts are never hidden from God.
God does not dismiss our tears or tell us that we should be stronger. He sees the tears we shed when no one else is around. He knows the tears we hold back because we are trying to keep it together. He understands the pain we cannot explain.
Even when we do not understand His plan, He is present.
Sometimes faith does not look like having everything together. Sometimes faith looks like crying in God's presence and trusting that He is still holding us.
Let yourself cry. Give God the hurt you cannot put into words. Let Him carry what you are too exhausted to carry. You do not have to explain every tear to Him—He already knows.
Psalm 56:8 reminds us that God keeps a record of our tears. When you feel unseen or alone in your sadness, this verse reminds you that God knows exactly what you are going through.
Reflection Question
Are there tears I have been holding back because I feel like I need to be strong?
Heavenly Father, You see my tears, even the ones no one knows about. You know the grief,
worry, and exhaustion I carry. When all I can do is cry, remind me that You still hear me. Help
me give you the burdens I was never meant to carry alone. Comfort me when I am tired and my heart hurts. Thank you for being with me through every tear. Help me trust that even in sadness, You hold me in Your loving hands. .
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
