"From Distraction To Devotion"
"From Distraction to Devotion"
Our minds naturally wander to unfinished tasks, tomorrow’s responsibilities, distractions
at home, or remembering something you forgot to do. Sometimes finding a quiet place
and a calm mind seems impossible. Before long, our prayer list turns into a to-do list.
God is not surprised by this. Instead of feeling discouraged, continue returning to Him.
Our Heavenly Father welcomes us every time we come back to Him. Whether you have
a set schedule for prayer or if you can only spare 5 minutes, He is always there waiting.
The goal is not to have a perfect prayer life but to have a heart that keeps coming back
to His presence.
Psalm 86:11 “Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an
undivided heart that I may fear your name.”
Heavenly Father,
I want to know You more, but my mind is easily distracted. Worries, thoughts, and
responsibilities that pull my attention away from You. Lord, quiet my mind and calm my
heart. Help me hear Your voice even with distractions. Teach me to focus on You above
all else. Thank you for always welcoming me into your presence.
