Day 15 - "Raise Your Expectation"

Day 15 - "Raise Your Expectation"
I was raised that you didn't doubt the miraculous. I was raised that God can do whatever He wants, however he wants, whenever He wants with whomever He wants. Listen we have to stop apologizing for believing in miracles when they didn't happen. God will do it! For some of you, you're a miracle by simply being alive today!

Acts 5:15 says, “so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, (a)that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. “

So many were being added. And they had an expectation for the miraculous. You don’t lay a bunch of people outside without an expectation. The only expectation they had was healing. They didn't have an expectation on HOW it would be done. Sometimes we want God to do it, but we want to tell Him how it's supposed to be done. "God heal that blind man like you did before.” Jesus is like, “Naa. I think I may do it differently. I know you want me to heal the blind with my hands, but this time I’ll use some saliva.” Or when Lazarus had died. They wanted make sure you He it within 3 days otherwise his body will decompose. Wait. Jesus can't fix a decomposing body now? Jesus can't take a skeleton and put flesh on? You see, if God did it the way we thought He should do it, we would take the credit for the miracle. In fact when we pray for a miracle and it happens, we will make a bigger deal that WE prayed than the miracle GOD performed. It’s not about us and has never been. So today, let’s not lower our expectations of a miracle by injecting ourselves in the process. Let's elevate our expectations by letting God do what He wants to do. We just pray. Raise your expectations on what God is capable of doing this year!

Prayer - “God, I fully expect you to do miracles in my life. I am sorry for ever lowering my expectation on what You can do. I wholeheartedly trust you. Help me to not get in the way but to build my faith in what you are capable of. Amen.”
