"Even When We Are Tired"

Even When We Are Tired

Each of us has times when we may be too tired to pray. Our minds are overwhelmed,
our bodies are exhausted, and we just can’t find the right words. Sometimes all we can
say is, “I need You, Lord,” or “God, help me.” And that is okay. He knows our hearts. He
knows we are tired. He knows the burdens we carry, even when we can’t find the words.
He does not measure our prayers by the length of our prayers or how we say them. He
is right by our side when we call out to Him. God knows exactly where we are in life. We
can come exactly as we are—hurting, tired, overwhelmed, and in need of Him. He is our
refuge and our strength.
He knows you. He hears you. And even when you are too tired to say much, you can
find rest in Him.
Scripture
Psalm 61:2 reminds us, “When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is
higher than I.”
Reflection
When you are struggling to find the right words, what keeps you from simply saying,
“God, I need You?”
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You tired and overwhelmed. Sometimes I do not have the strength to pray.
Thank You for reminding me that You know my struggles and my needs before I even
speak them. I do not have to find the perfect words. I can simply say, “God, I need You,”
and trust that You hear me and You are by my side. Thank You for never leaving me,
especially in the moments when I am too tired to do anything but call Your name.
In Your precious name,
Amen
