"Now Faith"

Now Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." ~Hebrews 11:1

"Now" faith...not something you once had, not something you might have in the future. "NOW" faith...faith for today, for this very minute! Faith that God hears my prayers, faith that God is working everything for my good, faith that everything, E-VE-RY-THING is going to be alright! Faith is knowing that no matter what the situation looks like today, God is working all things for good. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." ~Romans 8:28

Let me tell you friends, I have needed some "now" faith lately because my faith has been tested. Just when I think I'm gonna make it, satan comes at me from another direction. However, today I declare that I won't be defeated and I won't give up!!! I will stand on God's Word, I will pray, I will seek God's will and I will keep believing! I will have "now" faith! The Bible tells me, "...if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it WILL move; and NOTHING will be impossible for you." ~Matthew 17:20. Read that again, "It WILL move and NOTHING will be impossible"! Friends, that promise is ours, we just have to believe it!

So how do we grow in faith? How do we get that "now" faith? We pray, we read God's Word, we meditate on His promises, we believe those promises are ours and then we pray some more! Nope, faith doesn't just happen, faith requires us to take action, to work at it!  "But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? ~James 2:20.

What are we willing to do to see that mountain move...how bad do we want that mountain to move? Are we willing to pray more, are we willing to seek His will over ours? Do we truly want that "now" faith? My answer is yes, yes yes and YES!

Dear Lord, Your Word says we walk by faith, not by sight. Lord help me walk in "now" faith, faith to stand firm on Your Word so that even when I don't see it and I can't feel it, I know You are working! I want my faith to be alive! I will not give up, I will see my mountain move! Your promises are Yes and Amen! Thank you Lord for answered prayers. I give you praise and honor, in Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
