Everything You’re Looking For Is Found in Him
“When you live a life of abandoned love, surrendered before the awe of God, here’s what you’ll experience: Abundant life, continued protection, and complete satisfaction.” — Proverbs 19:23 TPT
What an incredible promise! This verse gives us three beautiful pictures of what comes from a life surrendered to God: abundant life, continued protection, and complete satisfaction.
These are powerful reasons to follow Him, love Him, trust Him, and worship Him with our whole hearts.
There is goodness beyond measure in God’s Kingdom. There is safety and peace in His presence. There is a satisfaction for our souls that this world simply cannot provide—and because the world didn’t give it to us, the world cannot take it away.
We spend so much of our lives searching for the things we think will finally make us feel complete. We look for satisfaction in accomplishments, relationships, possessions, recognition, success, and even the approval of other people. Some of those things can be wonderful blessings, but none of them were designed to take the place of God.
Everything we are truly looking for is ultimately found in Him.
Only God can satisfy the deepest longings of our souls. He offers a freedom that circumstances cannot steal and an abundant life that is much deeper than simply having everything go our way. Abundant life is knowing that no matter what happens around us, we belong to Him.
God protects us even when we cannot see the danger. Think about how many times He may have redirected your steps, closed a door, delayed an answer, changed your plans, or kept something from happening—and you never even realized He was protecting you.
He sustains us even during the seasons when we think we are the ones holding everything together. We make our plans, work hard, solve problems, and try to stay in control, but underneath it all is the faithful hand of God. Every breath is a gift. Every new morning is evidence of His mercy. Every time we have made it through something we thought would break us is another reminder that God has been carrying us all along.
And He surrounds us with His love.
When we are tired, He strengthens us. When we are confused, He guides us. When we are afraid, He gives us peace. When we fall, He meets us with grace. When we feel empty, He reminds us that our satisfaction was never supposed to come from this world in the first place.
God’s promises are great, and He is faithful to fulfill them. His plans are greater than anything we could create for ourselves. We may not always understand what He is doing, but we can trust the One who is doing it.
Maybe today you don’t need more answers. Maybe you simply need to remember who your God is.
He is your Provider.
He is your Protector.
He is your Sustainer.
He is your Peace.
He is your Satisfaction.
He is your Father.
And when you realize who He is, worship becomes the natural response of a grateful heart.
As the song says…
What a God. What a God!!!
Prayer
God, You are an awesome and faithful God! I praise and worship You today for who You are and for every wonderful promise You have made. Thank You for the ways You protect me that I never see, the ways You provide for me that I sometimes overlook, and the way You continually sustain me with Your grace.
Help me stop looking to this world for something that can only be found in You. Teach me to live surrendered before You and to trust Your plans even when I cannot understand them. Thank You for Your abundant life, Your protection, Your peace, and the satisfaction that comes from knowing You.
Most of all, thank You that I can say with confidence and joy, I am Your child, and You are my God!
What a God You are!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
